#BeActive Day 2026 in Steinfort – Physical activity for everyone!

On Saturday 26 September 2026, the Steinfort Sports Centre will be the place to be for anyone keen to get active, try out new sports and enjoy a lovely afternoon with family or friends.
To mark #BeActive Day, everyone is invited to celebrate the joy of physical activity. Whatever your age, fitness level or sporting experience, this event is open to everyone in a spirit of friendliness, discovery and sharing.
Throughout the afternoon, a wide range of free activities, demonstrations and taster sessions organised by local clubs and partners await you at the Steinfort Sports Centre (7A, Rue de Hagen, 8421 Steinfort). Visitors will have the chance to try their hand at new sports, meet coaches and sports clubs, and discover the wealth and diversity of sporting opportunities and physical activities on offer in Steinfort.
The Municipality of Steinfort therefore invites all residents – families, children, young people, adults and senior citizens – to join us for the day. Come and try a new activity, be inspired and discover the joy of being active, because every movement counts.
Programm
Aqua-Bubble
In the Aqua-Bubbles, participants can move around on the water inside a bubble. This activity is offered in the swimming pool.
Beach Tennis – Tennis Club Steinfort
Beach tennis is presented here as an easily accessible activity. Visitors can discover this version in a practical way.
Beach Volleyball – VC Steinfort
At this station, you can try out beach volleyball. Visitors can take part individually or together.
Football – FC Stengefort
The football station offers simple ball exercises and small activities. Here you can try out technique, game and movement.
Football Darts
In football darts, participants try to hit a large dartboard with a ball. The activity combines football with a playful challenge.
Game Centre
The Game Centre offers four different small throwing and hitting games (e.g. baseball, basketball, etc.). Visitors can take part here in a playful way.
Box Climbing Tower
At the Box Climbing Tower, participants can test their agility and their ability to handle heights. The activity is offered in a secure environment.
Climbing Rock
At the climbing rock, visitors can try a climbing activity. The station is secured and supervised.
LASEP
LASEP offers various workshops to give an insight into their school year activities.
Mini-Golf
At mini-golf, participants can test their precision. The activity is quiet, easily accessible and inviting.
Nordic Walking – Tünde Hertz
This activity offers one or more Nordic walking tours. The tours start at set times.
Orienteering Course
On the orienteering course, visitors can explore a route through the municipality using a compass.
Pétanque – Club de Pétanque A Rifat
At the pétanque station, visitors can try this sport in an open and sociable setting. The activity is easily accessible and invites participation.
Power-Paddler
The Power-Paddler is an activity exclusively for children. The station offers an original form of water-based exercise in small boats. This activity is offered in the swimming pool.
Wheelchair Sports – Luxrollers
At this station, visitors can get to know wheelchair sports. A practical activity is planned, with movement, agility and changing perspectives taking centre stage.
Chess – Steinfort Chess Club
At the chess station, visitors can play chess or get to know the activity. It offers a quieter alternative in the programme.
Smoothie Bike
On the smoothie bike, visitors can mix a smoothie using their own muscle power. This station combines exercise with a healthy refreshment.
Trampoline
The trampoline offers a space to move freely and playfully. This activity provides fun and exercise at the event.
Taekwondo – Taekwondo Club Stengefort
At this station, Taekwondo is introduced through short exercises or demonstrations. Visitors get a first insight into this martial art.
Gymnastics – Athletico Steinfort
In gymnastics, visitors can try a sporting activity focusing on movement, coordination and body control. The station is offered as an open workshop at the event.
Bike Course
The bike course offers a route with simple elements for bicycles. At the beginning or end, a small skills course is provided.
Additional information:
Autograph session
At the start of the event, an autograph session with well-known Luxembourgish track and field athletes is planned. This activity is intended to give visitors the opportunity to meet them.
Red Cross
The Red Cross will be present at the event to provide first aid.
Food and Drink
Food and drink will be provided at the event. The catering area also serves as a meeting point for a break and to socialise, and is provided by Athletico Steinfort and Futtball Club Steinfort. In addition, the Fëscherclub Äischdall Stengefort will be offering ice cream.
Quiz and great prizes
Visitors can take part in a quiz and win great prizes. The quiz questions are related to the event. There are also great prizes for trying every workshop.
Bike Parking
At the bike parking area, visitors can leave their bikes during the event. This area is intended for people arriving at the event by bicycle.
Bad Weather Information
Should the weather not be favourable, the event will still go ahead under the possible conditions and in an adapted format.
