#BeActive Day 2026: Get moving, explore, share!

This year, #BeActive Day is taking on a new form in Luxembourg with a brand-new format. For the first time, this day celebrating sport and physical activity will take place simultaneously in four municipalities: Pétange, Wiltz, Steinfort and Echternach.

As the highlight of European Week of Sport, #BeActive Day invites people of all ages to enjoy a day dedicated to movement, discovery and fun. Throughout the day, a wide range of sporting activities, taster sessions, workshops and entertainment will be on offer in the four host municipalities, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The joy of physical activity will be at the heart of this day. Whether you’re an experienced sports enthusiast, a beginner or simply curious, #BeActive Day is the perfect opportunity to discover new sports, meet local clubs and associations, and share enjoyable moments with family or friends.

The aim is simple: to encourage everyone to get moving, give things a go, have fun and adopt a more active lifestyle.
